<description>I have been attending OCtheory&#039;s think tank for the last 4 weeks... the concept is AMAZING. I am in full support of their decision to buy this building! it&#039;s all for social good!

<description>It took me some time to research this site. There are so many goofy things out there that I really needed to know what it was. This is in fact the second time it has come across my awareness in maybe a year or so. I am happy to say that I find it to be legitimate and for uplifting of mankind. However, as with all things made by man, I will keep my hand firmly on the rod and proceed with caution.
I have been in that area in Orem and I believe that would be an excellent project for Wal-Mart to support, as long as business does not become the motivational factor and shady practices are allowed on any level. I say this straight up because I know mankind and I know what we do to ourselves and I make no apology for my concern and comment.
I also have a question..how can we get this kind of volunteerism going in other states? I recently moved from Orem and live in Vermillion, South Dakota, home of the University of South Dakota. I am not a student at this time however many of the people in the branch I attend here are either professors there or students.
People here are very kind and I think we could give Utah a run for volunteer hours in a few years.

<description>That is a great question. The Wal-Mart Foundation gives millions of dollars to charities in their own state every year. Wal-Mart looks for the &quot;biggest bang for their buck&quot; when giving it away. One of the many benefits is they get a tax-write off for that amount. They also will be able to have a satellite Wal-Mart in the facility. Since we will be able to vollunteer 1.04 million hours of service every year in our community, locally and abroad it allows us to help more charitable organizations than our own. We also offer to have their logo on all of our marketing material and advertisements as a proud sponsor of our charity. That is over a thousand promotional marketing events 6 days a week. It&#039;s really incredible what we will be able to do for the greater good of humanity. Please make sure you share our message and &quot;click&quot; the like button to validate your vote.</description>

<description>From a business perspective, what&#039;s the compelling case you&#039;re making for Wal-mart to donate $150M to the cause? I&#039;m fascinated by biz and wondering how that would work.
